Important advice for passengers with flights from and to Hamburg during the G20 summit 6 - 9 July 2017

We would like to advise that due to travel of several heads of state and government officials to the G20 summit from 6 - 9 July 2017 we expect a higher volume of traffic in Hamburg.

We have changed the departure and arrival airport of directly affected flights because of the expected irregularities at Hamburg airport (HAM). We are offering a free transfer with shuttle buses for our guests, which we expect to take two and a half hours. We want to make sure that our customers can start their holidays relaxed or come back home as easily as possible.

All other departures and arrivals will be operated as planned, however we advise to plan more time for the travel to or from Hamburg Airport and use the direct train from the centre of the city to Hamburg Airport.

Potentially there will be increased security and document checks for all flights to Hamburg during the summit and the days before. We advise you to plan sufficient time for the additional security for your flight to Hamburg.

If you have any questions about the additional security, Hamburg Police can be contacted at: g20-buergerinfo@polizei.hamburg.de .
