United Undergraduate Study Programme at the Thomas Cook Group Airlines

In order to raise a generation of potential future employees within Thomas Cook Group Airlines an “Aviation Management (B.A)” undergraduate study programme within all four airlines was developed.

While in the past each airline individually designed their own undergraduate programmes, the “Thomas Cook Group Airlines Aviation Management B.A.” will be the first joint youth development project.

For the first ever roll out, four qualified applicants will have the opportunity to take part in the 3,5 year Aviation Management study in cooperation with the Thomas Cook Group Airlines. During this time the students alternate between classic study periods at the University of Applied Science Worms and placements at the Thomas Cook Group Airlines. The programme consists of an internal onboarding phase, a full-time internship semester with the duration of 6 month and additional short placements ranging from 5-10 weeks.

“In order to foster the international atmosphere of the programme we decided in favor of a university that teaches every module in the English language”, says Diana Borde, HR OD & Talent Manager at Condor. “In addition, work experience across the various functions and locations of our Organisation will be part of the programme. We decided on offering placements at Condor Airlines Germany in Frankfurt or Oberursel, at Thomas Cook Airlines UK in Manchester, at Thomas Cook Airlines Scandinavia in Copenhagen and at Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium in Brussels.”

The undergraduate study programme launches for the summer semester 2016 and just started with the application process. Submitted applications will be accepted until the 30th of September. More information can be found via one of the following links:
