With New Flight Destinations, Condor’s Short- and Medium-haul Flights For Summer 2017 Can Be Booked Now

Condor’s short- and medium-haul flight destinations for summer 2017 can be booked now on all booking channels. More Greek destinations and two exciting new vacation destinations in the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. The southern European island state of Malta (MLA) will be integrated into the timetable from Hamburg (HAM). Porto Santo (PXO) on the Portuguese Atlantic coast will be reached from Frankfurt (FRA) and Düsseldorf (DUS). Moreover, new connections to the Greek island of Samos (SMI) and the port city of Volos (VOL) are being added. Those who book early can already start making plans for their summer vacation next year.

“We are pleased that Condor is expanding its service in southern Europe even further. Alongside Malta and both Greek vacation destinations, Samos and Volos, Porto Santo adds a new exciting vacation destination in the Atlantic,” said Tammo Gause, Commercial Director Short & Medium Haul Continental Europe, Condor.

To get to Malta (MLA), passengers of Germany’s favorite leisure airline can depart from Hamburg airport on Wednesdays and Sundays. The southern European island state guarantees a varied experience. It has an overwhelming amount to offer tourists, and the mild yet sunny Mediterranean climate and casual cheerfulness which the island and its inhabitants exude make Malta one of the most popular vacation destinations, with fantastic beaches. On top of this, Malta’s capital city, Valletta, has been nominated as the European Capital of Culture 2018.

The Portuguese island of Porto Santo (PXO) in the Atlantic, which is about 40 kilometers away from Madeira, provides the perfect prerequisites for a dream vacation: high temperatures and a nine-kilometer long white sandy beach. As a particular highlight, Porto Santo and the surrounding area offer the possibility of observing whales and dolphins in their natural habitat all year round. From summer 2017, it will be possible to fly to the Portuguese island from Frankfurt (FRA) and Düsseldorf (DUS) on Mondays.

The Greek port city of Volos (VOL) is a real insider’s tip, hidden away from mass tourism. It is best to start from there with a sailing trip in the Pagasetic Gulf, or to observe the dolphins, which regularly swim along Volos bay. It is particularly worth doing this from the 1,600 meter high “Pelion,” which offers a breathtaking view of the sea. The Greek port city can be reached from Munich (MUC) on Sundays.

From summer 2017, Condor will fly to the Greek island of Samos (SMI) from Frankfurt (FRA) on Tuesdays. The East Aegean island captures the imagination with its unspoiled nature and rich culture. Lush green olive groves characterize the unique nature of the island, as do the numerous forested hills. All this alongside beautiful beaches means that even sports lovers get their money’s worth.

Aside from the new routes, in summer 2017, Condor will fly from a total of nine German departure airports to various popular flight destinations like the Canary Islands Fuerteventura (FUE), Gran Canaria (LPA), Lanzarote (ACE), La Palma (SPC), and Tenerife (TFS). Antalya (AYT) in Turkey, Hurghada (HRG) in Egypt, Funchal (FNC) on the Portuguese island of Madeira, and Agadir (AGA) in Morocco are also included in the Condor flight program.
