“We are really excited to be able to offer our customers this new destination” explains Ralf Teckentrup, Managing Director of Condor. “With Quito we are expanding the selection in South America for our customers, adding another amazing destination to the popular destinations in Brazil.”
As the highest situated capital in the world, Quito has lots to offer. This Ecuadorian metropolis lies almost 3‘000 metres above sea level and is just 20 kilometres from the equator. Quito was built on the ruins of an ancient Incan city and gives visitors the chance to explore the rich pre-Colombian history. The city is located at the foot of the Andes Mountains and boasts one of the most untouched historical city centres in Latin America, being named a world heritage site by UNESCO. Even active holidaymakers will find Quito worthwhile. The Ecuadorian Andes are known for their many volcanoes and lagoons which invite travellers to venture into the mountains. A particular sight to behold is Cotopaxi, the highest active volcano in the world.
As well as adding a new destination, the leisure airline is also building on its existing routes from Frankfurt; from next winter flights to Cancun will depart daily. Cape Town and Mombasa in Africa and Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic will be increased from three to four flights per week. An additional flight to Mauritius departing from Hessen will also be added, giving passengers the choice of five weekdays to travel to the Indian Ocean paradise instead of just four.
“Frankfurt remains our most important base for long-haul flights and so we are constantly looking to develop our range of destinations. For customers this means more choice of destinations and more flexibility in planning their holiday as we are adding more flights to existing destinations” explains Teckentrup.
Cheap flights from Frankfurt to Quito are available as a one-way full-price from 429.99 Euros in economy class, from 599.99 Euros in the premium class and from 1,199,99 Euros in the business class.
