Update: The Condor Airbus A321, that was diverted to Budapest (BUD) this morning due to an unspecific threat, has been carefully examined by Condor and the authorities according to the administrative guidelines and has been released without any findings. The passengers took off at 18:50 pm local time to continue their flight to Hurghada (HRG). Their flight is operated by a Condor Boeing 757 aircraft which had been sent to Budapest as a precaution. The Airbus A321 will be re-integrated in the normal flight operations immediately. Safety is always the highest priority in aviation. Condor apologizes to its guests for the inconveniences.

Condor flight DE490 en route from Berlin-Schönefeld (SXF) to Hurghada (HRG) was diverted to Budapest (BUD) on December 7th 2015 after it had left Berlin on time at 9:22 am local time. The reason for this diversion is an unspecific threat by phone. The airplane landed safely at 11:42 am local time in Budapest. Security is always the highest priority in aviation. The Airbus A321 will be inspected in Budapest according to administrative guidelines by Condor and the authorities. The 133 passengers and 7 crew members are all well and are looked after on site. Condor has dispatched another airplane to Budapest to fly its customers safely to their destination.
