Condor flies a flag against breast cancer: With the start of International Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, Condor is once again reaffirming its commitment to the fight against breast cancer. As part of the global aviation initiative FlyPink, the holiday airline is sending a strong message about prevention and solidarity with those affected – both on the ground and in the air. This year, Condor is kicking off the campaign with a stand at Frankfurt Airport, where it will be waiting for guests at Gate B with eye-catching surprises, as well as questions and discussions on the topic of cancer prevention. In addition to Condor representatives, the partner Brustkrebs Deutschland e.V. (Breast Cancer Germany) will also be on site.
“We are proud of this initiative, which was developed by our employees. Condor has been supporting the FlyPink initiative for several years now, focusing on the topics of early detection and solidarity through numerous campaigns,” says Christian Schmitt, COO of Condor. “In October, our crews will wear pink accessories—from scarves to ties—to show their support for the campaign, not only on board our specially painted pink aircraft, but across our entire fleet.”
A special highlight is the FlyPink Plane: since last year, the Airbus A320 with the registration number D-AICS has been flying to the world's most beautiful destinations as a pink and white striped aircraft carrying the message against breast cancer. In addition to its striking livery, the cabin of the FlyPink Plane is also decorated with pink elements.Condor is also working with various airports, including Berlin, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Leipzig, and Munich, to raise awareness for the campaign with screens and advertising space at the airports.
On board, special safety cards provide information about early detection and prevention. Specially designed FlyPink items are sold in the Condor shop and during flights, with proceeds going to the non-profit organization Brustkrebs Deutschland e.V. (Breast Cancer Germany).
