The postman brings a parcel for a young girl in Prien am Chiemsee. Leah (13), fighting cancer, opens it and can barely believe her luck. A Tiffany-green bikini and a Save the Date ticket announce the fulfilment of her greatest wish: a dream holiday with the entire family to the Maldives, her dream destination for many years. Leah (13) is tall, pretty and has a cute smile. Almost a normal teenager. But Leah no longer has any hair; one and a half years ago Leah was diagnosed with cancer. Leah has already had two operations, two courses of chemotherapy, innumerable days and nights in the hospital, and she is very scared. But Leah is bravely fighting, lovingly supported by her family. And hope is growing. Her results are good. But fear is her constant companion. She has to have a check-up every three months.

Even as a baby Leah loved water. She painted her bedroom turquoise. She dreams of a holiday on a real dream-beach, preferably in the Maldives. She would like invite everyone she loves to come with her, to recover after the difficult times she has been through. Simply to leave everything behind for a short while, to enjoy the peace, the heat, the white sandy beach, the sea, to get back some energy – that is all she wants.

Make-A-Wish Deutschland e.V. is now fulfilling Leah's wish with generous support from the airline Condor and from the Robinson Club Maldives, in order to give her new energy and hope in her fight against the disease. Organised to the very last detail by two volunteer helpers in Munich, Leah and her family will be flying to one of the most beautiful atolls in the Maldives, where the family will be pampered in their bungalow by the Robinson Club. They will be going snorkelling, swimming with dolphins, and much much more. Leah's wish is coming true.
