June 12, 2023 - With the turn of the year 2023/2024, Germany's most popular leisure airline is heading in a new direction regarding training and education activities for cockpit and cabin in cooperation with avenger Flight Group (AFG)! As result of the close partnership a comprehensive Aviation Training Center is being opened in Dreieich. Condor will provide cabin mockups, while AFG will contribute with cockpit simulators. The simulators of the latest technology are manufactured by SIM International. In addition, sufficient space is available for theoretical training components nearby at the "Dreieich Plaza" office area. Thus, besides the cockpit simulator and recurrent training, retraining, all service as well as elementary training, and leadership training will also be offered at the new location.
Full flight simulators and flight training devices
Up to eight full-flight simulators are available in the training center, including at least one for Airbus A320ceo/neo and Airbus A330ceo/neo. Two flight training devices (FTDs) will also be on site at the new site in the future.
Offer for other customers from the airline industry
Other customers from the airline industry will also have the opportunity to access the new facilities of Condor and AFG at Dreieich in the future. Thanks to the location, just a few kilometres from Frankfurt Airport, this offer will eliminate the need for long trips in some cases.
"We are delighted to have AFG as an experienced partner in the field of simulator training at our side. Thanks to the close cooperation at the Dreieich site, we can offer our cockpit staff excellent training conditions," says Christian Schmitt, COO and Accountable Manager of Condor.
“We are very grateful to Condor for this valuable opportunity to collaborate on the establishment of the new Training Center in Dreieich. With AFG's extensive experience and expertise in flight simulation, we are honored to be Condor's trusted partner in this endeavor. The center, equipped with cutting-edge flight simulators from AFG and cabin mockups from Condor, will provide unparalleled training conditions for all crew members. We are excited to welcome crew members from all over the world to the new facility and are committed to delivering exceptional training experiences,” says Andrés Restrepo, Executive Vice President of the Avenger Flight Group.
Currently training and development measures are held in Kelsterbach and Neu-Isenburg, among other locations. Condor expects the centralization to simplify logistical training planning and provide even more efficient and modern training for cockpit and cabin staff.
