Together against breast cancer and for prevention: as part of the FlyPink initiative, Condor crews took off in pink again this year. For the first time, a pink-striped aircraft took off in October to raise awareness of breast cancer prevention. FlyPink articles were also available on board and in the Condor online store, the proceeds of which will go to Breast Cancer Germany e.V. in 2024. A total of 20,000 euros was raised through the sale of FlyPink products and donations from Condor guests. The donation amount was handed over last week to Kira Schäfer, Regional Representative Hessen of Brustkrebs Deutschland e.V.
“Thanks to the great commitment of our guests and the support of all our employees, we were once again able to set an important example this year,” says Christian Schmitt, COO Condor. “We are delighted to be able to hand over this impressive sum to Brustkrebs Deutschland e.V. and would like to thank all our guests and Condorians for their generous support."
Renate Haidinger, Brustkrebs Deutschland e.V.: “We are incredibly grateful and proud to be a part of this unique project. Together we can bring this important topic and all its messages to the world. Many thanks to all the great people who are accompanying and supporting this initiative.”
The Airbus A320 with the registration D-AICS has been flying as the FlyPink Plane on the entire Condor short-haul network since October, sending a clear sign against this disease even beyond the month of action against breast cancer.
