March 01, 2025 - A small piece of corporate history: On Saturday, March 1, 2025, Condor took off on its first scheduled flights within Germany for many years. At around 10:30 a.m., Condor flight DE4095 took off from Frankfurt Airport for the first time with destination Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER). About fifteen minutes later, at around 10:45 a.m., Condor flight DE4179 took off from Frankfurt Airport to Hamburg Airport (HAM) for the first time. From Sunday, March 2, 2025, Condor will connect the cities on the Spree and Elbe rivers with the Main metropolis twice a day, morning and evening.
“With our city flights, we are adapting our flight schedule to the needs of our guests,” says Peter Gerber, CEO Condor. “Berlin and Hamburg are cities that are popular destinations for both business and leisure travel. We are also opening up further connecting options for our guests: After all, the Condor long-haul network from Frankfurt of course also offers our guests from Berlin and Hamburg many attractive destinations.”
On board the city flights
All flights are operated in a two-class cabin configuration with Business Class and Economy Class. On board, Business Class guests enjoy the usual seating comfort with a free middle seat and are provided with drinks and a high-quality snack. Guests in Economy Class receive complimentary water and a small sweet treat.
Among others, brand-new Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft will be in operation on the routes to Berlin and Hamburg. With the PW1127G, the new Condor aircraft are equipped with the latest generation of engines from Pratt & Whitney, which not only reduce fuel consumption by 20 percent, but can also be operated with Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). The aircraft also emits up to 20 percent less CO2 and up to 50 percent less noise. This translates into a kerosene consumption of 1.9 liters per passenger per 100 kilometers on board an A320neo – while offering maximum customer comfort.
Tickets for flights to Berlin and Hamburg can be booked at all travel agencies or online at https://www.condor.com.
