Julius wants to visit an American fire brigade
The six-year-old Julius from Mainz always had the big dream of “once visiting a real American fire brigade.” Together with his family Julius was picked-up on 27th June by a manned fire engine with siren and flashing blue light and was brought to Frankfurt airport. With Condor the young passenger and his family flew in the Business Class from Frankfurt to <link https: www.condor.com eu flights usa providence external-link-new-window external link in new>Providence in the USA. Julius’ cuddle toy Leo even received his own boarding card. After landing in Providence the family was welcomed by the airport fire brigade with a water fountain on the apron.
In the following days Julius not only was able to become a real firefighter but also was able to enjoy the time at the beach together with his parents. For the six-year-old his heartfelt wish became true. “We will always remember this with a smile on our faces”, says Julius’ mother about the unforgettable time in the USA.
Yasin wishes for a holiday with a swimming pool
The next dream that Condor fulfilled in cooperation with Make-A-Wish in August, belongs to Yasin from Munich. The 14-year-old, who is ill with leukemia, already is excited to spend a carefree holiday with his family in Majorca. “With all my heart I wish for a hotel with a swimming pool”, says Yasin full of anticipation for the journey.
Until the end of the anniversary year Condor will fulfill two more wishes, so that the airline will be able to have flown at least one child for each anniversary year for a short period of time out of their everyday life, which is determined by illness.
Make-A-Wish Germany fulfills children and young adults between the ages of three and 18 years, who suffer from life-threatening illnesses, their individual and long-desired wishes. With this, they and their families experience happy and unforgettable moments, which give them hope, strength and joy of life in the fight against their illness. For Condor it is a particular honor to be able to make a small contribution.
