From 2027 Condor will operate from Europe’s most modern Terminal, T3

Condor will relocate to the new Terminal 3 (T3) at Frankfurt Airport in summer 2027. The airline and airport operator Fraport AG announced the move today during a joint event held at Terminal 3 in Frankfurt. With this step, both companies are underscoring their commitment to sustainable growth, continued investment, and the long-term development of Frankfurt as a leading aviation and business hub for the entire Rhine-Main region.

The move is part of Condor’s ongoing strategic development and reflects the important role Frankfurt Airport plays as Germany’s gateway to the world helping to support jobs, create economic value, and connect the country with global markets. Terminal 3 is one of the most significant privately financed infrastructure projects in European aviation and meets growing demands in terms of quality, capacity, and sustainability.

“With our planned move to the state-of-the-art Terminal 3 in summer 2027, we are consistently continuing on our future-oriented path,” said Peter Gerber, CEO of Condor. “Following the successful renewal of our fleet and the strategic evolution of our brand, we are now investing in our infrastructure as well just in time for Condor’s 70th anniversary. The modern environment of T3 provides ideal conditions for further growth, operational stability, and a premium travel experience for our guests. At the same time, this decision is a clear commitment to Frankfurt as a location and to the economic strength of the region. We would like to thank Fraport for its collaborative and forward-looking partnership.”

Aviation is a key driver of trade, tourism, and international competitiveness. With Terminal 3, Frankfurt Airport is expanding its capacity and strengthening its position in global competition among international hubs. Condor’s decision to operate from T3 in the future secures long-term value creation and jobs both directly in flight operations and indirectly in supplier companies, service providers, and the tourism sector.

“We are delighted that Condor, the second-largest airline in Frankfurt, intends to continue its growth story at Terminal 3 starting in summer 2027,” said Dr. Stefan Schulte, CEO of Fraport AG. “The new terminal offers excellent conditions for this. These include state-of-the-art technology throughout and streamlined processes from check-in and baggage drop counters to CT scanners at security checkpoints. Numerous comfort areas in the central marketplace, at the gates, and in the lounges complete the overall product offering. In addition to the high quality of stay, Condor passengers will also benefit from short walking distances and excellent accessibility of the new terminal.”

Terminal 3 features cutting-edge handling technology, optimized apron connections, digital services, and clear, intuitive wayfinding with short distances for passengers. The infrastructure is designed to ensure efficient processes and stable operations while significantly enhancing overall passenger comfort. In addition, the terminal incorporates high environmental and sustainability standards, thereby supporting the long-term transformation goals of the aviation industry.

With the announcement of the relocation in summer 2027, Condor and Fraport underline their shared strategic direction: growth with responsibility, investment in modern infrastructure, and a clear commitment to Germany as an aviation hub in the international competitive landscape.
