Thomas Cook Group Airlines Launches “Rotate” Graduate Programme

Thomas Cook Group Airlines will start its new “Rotate” Graduate Programme on 1 April 2016. In the pilot programme, a total of four participants will receive 18 months of extensive training and get in-depth insights and experience in the different areas of the company. With the programme, Thomas Cook Group Airlines aims to give particularly talented applicants the opportunity to get an ideal start on the path to a management career.

The trainees will “rotate” between the four headquarters of Thomas Cook Group Airlines in Brussels, Copenhagen, Frankfurt and Manchester, thereby gaining a comprehensive overview of the Group Airline’s organisation. At the different airlines, they will rotate through the Group’s major divisions: Technical Operations, Finance, Human Resources, IT, Marketing, Sales & Distribution and Operations. In addition, the participants will be trained in leadership and management skills, customer service and social responsibility, with the goal of optimally preparing them for a career at Thomas Cook Group Airlines.

“With the Rotate programme, we enable young graduates to embark on exciting work at the international level and become very familiar with the decision-making processes used at our company,” says Julie Armstrong, Director of Human Resources at Thomas Cook Group Airlines. “We are already looking forward to the start of ‘Rotate’, and are excited even now about our leaders and managers of tomorrow.”

During the 18-month programme, the participants will be involved in at least two high-level strategic projects in different business segments. Moreover, the rotation between the four Group Airlines gives them the opportunity to gain valuable experience during their stays abroad, which will last a total of at least six months. Each of the four participants will be paired with a mentor, who will provide support and assistance throughout the entire training process.

University graduates can apply for the programme at <link http: careers.thomascook.com external-link-new-window external link in new>careers.thomascook.com until 20 November 2015. Applicants must have a university degree of very high standing, one to two years of professional experience, international experience and excellent knowledge of English. The Group plans to repeat the rotation program every 18 months, so that each new group of trainees starts the programme as the previous one completes it.
