Condor A320neo D-ANCZ takes off for first passenger flight

Ready for takeoff: The first commercial flight of the brand-new A320neo took off from Frankfurt to Heraklion this morning under flight number DE1662. Flights to Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Funchal, Faro and Samos in Greece will follow in the coming days. The aircraft with the registration D-ANCZ is the first of a total of 43 brand-new A32Xneo aircraft that Condor will receive by 2029. Following the completion of its long-haul fleet renewal, Condor is now replacing its existing short and medium-haul fleet with a total of 15 brand-new A320neo and 28 brand-new A321neo aircraft.

More features and comfort for guests on short and medium-haul routes

Guests on the A320neo enjoy brand new connectivity on board to stay online above the clouds. The "FlyConnect" internet and entertainment portal also offers the latest entertainment program with films, series and podcasts that can be streamed via personal devices. In addition, larger overhead compartments with more storage space for personal travel items are available in a stylish striped interior.

The Airbus A32Xneo family stands for the most modern and highly efficient aircraft technology in the world, coupled with significantly improved aerodynamics thanks to the wings and wingtips, the so-called Sharklets. With the PW1127G, the new Condor aircraft have the latest generation of engines from Pratt & Whitney, which not only reduce fuel consumption by 20 percent, but can also be operated with Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). The aircraft also boasts up to 20 percent lower CO2 emissions and up to 50 percent less fuel consumption.
