Condor building on young talent

Germany's most popular leisure airline Condor is counting on young talent: for the first time, four apprenticeship positions as office management assistants will be advertised this summer. This means that, in addition to the company subsidiary Condor Technik, the headquarters in Neu-Isenburg will be added as a new training location.

Training as office management assistants will begin on August 1, 2021, and will last two and a half years. During this time, the trainees will mainly work in the Finance, Controlling, Human Resources and Purchasing departments. In addition, internships are planned in other Condor departments and at Condor Technik, as well as a route experience flight.

Liana Weismüller, Director HR at Condor: "Qualified employees are an important success factor for every company and personnel development already begins with vocational training and the promotion of young talent. In this way, we gain committed new employees who love flying as much as we do."

Condor Technik has been training apprentices since 2009, and this year is no exception: on August 23, 2021, three apprentices will begin their training as aircraft mechanics. By then, a total of 14 apprentices will be employed by the Condor subsidiary. The three-and-a-half-year apprenticeship as an aircraft mechanic starts with a ten-week introductory shift, during which they are introduced to everyday working life. This is followed by regular shift work.

Condor and Condor Technik rely on well-founded training for qualified young people who develop into specialists in their field. Successful completion of training lays the foundation for further qualification opportunities for career advancement, as the current aim is also to take on trainees in the company following their training.
