Condor has expanded its international route network with the successful launch of its new daily service between Frankfurt (FRA) and Cairo (CAI), Egypt's capital, on June 26, 2026. The new route further strengthens the airline's network by adding one of the Middle East's most important economic and tourism hubs. Flights are operated in cooperation with Helvetic Airways, offering guests ergonomic seating, flexible fare options and a range of additional services. Flights can be booked at www.condor.com, by phone or through travel agencies.
"Cairo is a fascinating destination with significant economic and cultural importance. By launching this new daily service, we are making a targeted investment in a market with strong long-term potential while creating additional connectivity via our Frankfurt hub. The successful start of operations marks another important milestone in the expansion of our international network and further strengthens our offering for business, leisure and connecting passengers alike," said Peter Gerber, CEO of Condor.
Home to more than 20 million people across its metropolitan area, Cairo is one of North Africa's largest and most influential urban centers. Every year, millions of visitors travel to the city to explore attractions such as the newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum, the world-famous Pyramids of Giza, or to begin Nile cruises in the Valley of the Kings.
To mark the inaugural flight, the Condor aircraft received a warm welcome upon arrival at Cairo International Airport with a small celebratory ceremony. Representatives from the airport, local authorities and Condor gathered to celebrate the launch of the new route and highlight its importance for tourism as well as for strengthening economic ties between Germany and Egypt.
