Starting May 14, 2027, Condor will operate a daily nonstop service between Frankfurt (FRA) and Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD). The seasonal route will run through September 12, 2027, further expanding the airline’s North American network with one of the continent’s leading aviation and business hubs.
Chicago is one of the largest cities in the United States and an international center for commerce, industry, finance, and culture. It is also home to one of the largest German-American communities in the country. As one of North America’s most important aviation hubs, Chicago offers excellent onward connections across the United States while also serving as a highly attractive destination in its own right. Visitors can enjoy world-famous architecture, renowned museums, a vibrant culinary scene, diverse music and cultural offerings, and the city’s spectacular location on the shores of Lake Michigan. In addition, Chicago is an ideal gateway for exploring the entire U.S. Midwest.
"Chicago is an ideal addition to our North American network and a market with significant potential for both leisure and business travel. With this new service, we are providing our guests with convenient access to one of the most important metropolitan regions in the United States while also offering travelers from Chicago seamless connections to Europe via our Frankfurt hub," said Peter Gerber, CEO of Condor.
The new route provides U.S. travelers with seamless access to Europe throughout the summer season. At the same time, guests traveling from Frankfurt to visit family, friends, or business partners in the greater Chicago area will benefit from the convenience of nonstop flights. Via Frankfurt, passengers will also have access to numerous connecting flights to destinations across Condor’s European network as well as worldwide destinations served by partner airlines.
Seamless Connections via Frankfurt’s Terminal 3 from Summer 2027
Beginning with the 2027 summer schedule, Condor will also move its operations to Frankfurt Airport’s new Terminal 3. The state-of-the-art terminal offers travelers modern infrastructure, short walking distances, spacious facilities, and optimized passenger processes. Connecting passengers, in particular, will benefit from efficient transfer procedures and convenient connections between long-haul and European flights. Together with Condor’s expanding route network and partner airlines, this will create a seamless travel experience via the Frankfurt hub.

The route will be operated with the Airbus A330neo, the flagship of Condor’s long-haul fleet. The modern aircraft offers a premium travel experience across all cabin classes, featuring an exceptionally quiet cabin, spacious interiors, and a contemporary onboard product.
In Business Class, guests enjoy maximum comfort with fully lie-flat seats extending up to 1.99 meters (6 ft 6 in), direct aisle access from every seat, and a comprehensive premium service.
