Condor launches daily service to Abu Dhabi

Condor now connects Berlin Brandenburg Airport with Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates on a daily basis. The airline operates the flights to the Gulf region in codeshare with Etihad Airways. The new long-haul service adds an important hub connecting Europe, Asia and Africa to the route network at BER. Travellers benefit from daily direct flights to the Gulf region as well as seamless connections between the Condor and Etihad networks, for example to Bangkok in Thailand, Sydney in Australia and Hanoi in Vietnam.

“With the daily service between Berlin and Abu Dhabi, we are expanding our long-haul network with an important destination while further strengthening the international connectivity of the capital region. Together with our codeshare partner Etihad Airways, we are offering our guests not only an attractive direct connection to Abu Dhabi, but also seamless onward connections to numerous destinations in Asia, Australia and Africa. This close cooperation combines the strengths of both networks and opens up additional travel opportunities for both leisure and business travellers,” says Dr. Pierre Dominique Prümm, Chief Commercial Officer of Condor.

“We are very pleased to welcome Condor to Abu Dhabi and to strengthen our offering in the German market through this partnership. Our networks complement each other perfectly: together, we offer passengers in Berlin year-round daily flights to Abu Dhabi and convenient onward connections across Etihad’s entire network. This is a valuable addition to our offering in Germany, and we look forward to further expanding this partnership together,” says Lena Havia, Vice President Alliances & Joint Ventures, Etihad Airways.

“The new long-haul service to Abu Dhabi will further improve the international accessibility of the capital region. Via Etihad Airways’ hub, numerous additional travel and business opportunities to destinations in Asia and Australia are now available. This benefits both the people and businesses in Berlin and Brandenburg as well as international visitors to our region,” says Aletta von Massenbach, Chief Executive Officer of Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH.
