Condor launches inaugural flight to Sanya

New destination in Asia: With the inaugural flight to Sanya on China’s Hainan Island, Condor is expanding its route network to include another destination in the Asia-Pacific region. Flight DE2362 departed from Frankfurt Airport (FRA) on the evening of Saturday, July 26, 2025, and landed at Sanya Phoenix International Airport (SYX) on July 27 after a stopover in Bangkok (BKK). The flight’s arrival in Sanya was celebrated with a traditional welcome ceremony.

Condor now operates the new route three times per week during the summer schedule, with departures from Frankfurt on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Saturdays. The flight includes a brief stopover in Bangkok before continuing to Sanya. The entire journey is operated with the modern and fuel-efficient Airbus A330neo, offering three comfortable travel classes: Business Class, Premium Economy Class, and Economy Class.

“With the launch of the Sanya connection, Condor continues the strategic expansion of its long-haul network in Asia,” said Heiko Holm, Managing Director and CTO of Condor. “Thanks to close and trusted cooperation with Sanya Phoenix International Airport and the Sanya Tourism Board, we have created an attractive offering for travelers from Europe while also opening new travel opportunities for Chinese guests into our European network.”

In March 2025, Condor, the Sanya Tourism Board, and Sanya Phoenix International Airport signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). In addition to the launch of the route, the agreement includes a joint commitment to promoting responsible tourism and preserving the destination’s rich cultural heritage.

Tickets for flights to Sanya are available at travel agencies and online at www.condor.com.
