Condor Reorganizes Shareholder Structure

German airline Condor is reorganizing its shareholder structure. Following the early repayment of the state aid received by Condor in spring 2026, the 49 percent stake previously held by SG Luftfahrtgesellschaft on behalf of the Federal Republic of Germany and the State of Hesse will be restructured. This is based on the option agreed upon when Attestor first invested in Condor in 2021, which has now been exercised to acquire these shares. Completion of the transaction (closing) is scheduled for August 31, 2027.

This milestone marks the end of an extraordinary chapter in the history of the German airline. Following the insolvency of its former parent company, Thomas Cook, and the unprecedented impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Federal Government of Germany and the State of Hesse played a decisive role in stabilizing Condor during a crisis through no fault of the airline’s own. Attestor joined Condor as a long-term investor in 2021 and has actively supported the company’s strategic development ever since.

Over the past several years, Condor has renewed its long-haul fleet, continues to expand its short- and medium-haul fleet, and is consistently developing its city network to strengthen feeder traffic into its Frankfurt hub.
