Condor to launch flights to Tel Aviv in May

In its 70th anniversary year, Condor is continuing its own story by resuming regular flights from Frankfurt (FRA) to Tel Aviv (TLV) starting in May 2026. This reintroduces a destination that played a key role in the beginnings of German leisure air travel: Condor’s very first flight, on 29 March 1956, was a pilgrimage flight from Frankfurt to the Holy Land.

With the resumption of flights to Tel Aviv, Condor is strengthening connectivity via its Frankfurt hub and offering travelers from Europe and North America additional direct travel options to the region.

David Carlisle, Vice President Network Planning & Partnerships Condor: “Tel Aviv combines tradition and modernity like few other cities – economically strong, culturally vibrant, and of great significance in Condor’s history. Connecting this global city across Europe and North America via our growing Frankfurt hub is particularly special to us as we celebrate our 70th anniversary”.

The Commissioner of the Hessian State Government for Jewish Life and the Fight against Antisemitism, Uwe Becker, also expressed particular delight at the new flight connection from Frankfurt to Tel Aviv: “With this, Condor is also strengthening relations between Germany and Israel, because mutual understanding grows out of encounters and getting to know one another. And no encounter has a more lasting impact than personal experiences on site. The new connection therefore also represents an additional bridge of understanding and exchange, and there can hardly be enough of that in the relations between our countries, especially in the present time.”

The new connection will be operated with an Airbus A320. Passengers can enjoy Condor’s signature comfort on board, including ergonomic seats, flexible fare options, and a range of optional extras. Flights are now available for booking online at www.condor.com, by phone, and through travel agencies.
