Easter time is travel time: At Frankfurt and Düsseldorf airports alone, around 130 Condor flights take off or land on the first Easter vacation weekend (first and second of April) and 29,000 travelers fly to or from their vacations with Germany's most popular leisure airline.
Canary Islands, Los Angeles and Co.: popular Condor-destinations
The Canary Islands and Egypt are particularly popular with Condor this spring on short- and medium-haul routes. On long-haul routes, Cancún and Punta Cana are enjoying strong demand. The U.S. destinations San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York are also in vogue, with the first destination now again being served several times a week out of Frankfurt after a short break due to the winter flight schedule.
Advice to plan time at the airport
Due to the expected high volume of traffic, guests are requested to arrive at the respective departure airport up to three hours prior to departure (in Frankfurt, this deviates up to four hours prior to departure). In addition, travelers should familiarize themselves in advance with the baggage regulations that apply to them and stow urgently needed utensils, such as their travel documents or medication, in their hand luggage.
Online check-in recommended
Condor recommends the use of online check-in. More information about the service, which is available 24 hours before departure, and the few exceptions to the offer can be found on the Condor website. For a particularly stress-free arrival on the day of departure, Condor also points out the option of Late Night Check-in. In Frankfurt and Hamburg, travelers also have the option of using the baggage drop-off machines on site.
Earlier check-in possible at Düsseldorf Airport
From April 1, 2023, check-in for Condor flights from Düsseldorf Airport will be possible as early as 03:00 in the morning on busy vacation days. In the Easter period, this applies to the first and second as well as seventh to ninth of April. The overview from May onwards can be found on the Condor website under "Latest travel updates".
